  1. Are we confident that we know the context of our school in terms of its faith, ethnic, cultural and socio-economic composition and that of its immediate community?

  2. Is our strategic plan of action for promoting community cohesion based on our knowledge of this school context?

  3. Have we conducted an audit of all the work our school currently does which has an impact on community cohesion?

  4. Are we as a school community aware of the importance of community cohesion and committed to it? What evidence do we have of this?

  5. Does the achievement of different groups of pupils show that they are making better progress as a result of the policies and actions to promote community cohesion?

  6. Is there good participation of all groups of pupils in different events and activities in the school? How is this monitored?

  7. Is there evidence that all groups have been effectively consulted on identifying their needs and possible solutions? Has this been helpful?

  8. Can we provide examples of tolerance and respect from our school community?
