Amongst other things inspectors will seek evidence of:

• spiritual development through pupils’ beliefs, religious or otherwise, and how these inform their perspective on life and their interest in and respect for other people’s feelings and values;

• a sense of enjoyment in learning about themselves and others;

• a willingness to reflect on their experiences;

• the ability to know right from wrong and a readiness to apply this;

• an understanding of the consequences of their actions;

• an interest in ethical issues and the ability to investigate these and offer reasoned opinions;

• an understanding of cultural diversity and tolerance towards different faiths.
