This module provides a range of information about equality, principles and legislation in the United Kingdom.  Having completed this module and its associated Learning Review you will:

  • be aware of the relevant equality legislation

  • be able to defi ne the categories of discrimination and associated unacceptable behavior

  • understand your governing body’s responsibilities under the equality statutory duties

  • understand the importance of, and be able to contribute to the completion of Equality Impact Assessments

  • understand the importance of, and be able to contribute to the production of equality policies and procedures
